Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates in the UK is recruiting Therapuetic Support Workers for children’s homes in Exeter, Tiverton, Dartington, Crediton and Barnstaple. This permanent role is based in a residential setting, supporting young people who have experienced trauma or have complex needs.

Starting salary is £31,600 (£28,080 plus £3,600 sleep-ins) for a 40-hour week. DBS paid, fully funded training and ongoing progression opportunities are provided; a driving licence and vehicle are preferred for

Qualifications

• Graduate or qualification in psychology, child trauma, counselling, or related field.
• Experience with children who have suffered trauma or have complex needs is beneficial.
• Driving licence and access to vehicle preferred for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support and supervision to children in residential care.
• Support daily routines, education, and activities while maintaining safety and well-being.

My client is looking to hire permanent Children Support Workers for their children's homes based in Exeter, Tiverton, Dartington, Crediton and Barnstaple.

This role is working in a residential children's home which offers a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people who have either suffered early childhood trauma from abuse, neglect or exploitation or require additional support due to learning disabilities and complex needs.
