Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is recruiting for a county Local Council for Therapeutic Support Workers at a new childrens home in Dartington, Totnes. The role focuses on supporting young people with learning difficulties and complex needs in a residential setting.

You will receive full training and funded Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications on appointment, with a starting salary of £26,824 and uplifts for Sleep Ins, Evening Work and Weekend Work (OTE £30,824). Progression available after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people with disabilities or complex needs.
• Willingness to undertake funded Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications.
• Experience in residential or youth work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work in a residential childrens home for young people with learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Provide therapeutic support and promote wellbeing and safety.
• Engage in training and development opportunities offered by the employer.

The Therapeutic Support Worker role is working in a residential children's home for young people with learning difficulties, physical needs and complex needs

The Support Worker role is offering the following

• Starting salary of £26,824
• Pay uplifts for Sleep Ins, Evening Work and Weekend Work (OTE £30,824)
• Pay Increases upon passing probation
• Full training and funded qualifications for Level 3 and Level 4 immediately

I am looking for passionate Support Workers with experience working with Children and/or Young People with disabilities, autism, aspergers, developmental needs, physical disabilities or needs, health issues in any of the following :

• children's home
• care leavers
• SEN
• PRU students,
• young offenders
