Job summary

VOYAGE CARE is seeking a Senior Support Worker to help people gain independence while assisting the Manager with daily supervision and service management. You may allocate shifts, induct new colleagues, and support with supervision, training, and finances for individuals in our care.

We value candidates with prior Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, plus experience supporting individuals with distress, mental health needs, brain injury, autism, or trauma.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience with individuals needing enhanced support (distress, mental health, ABI, autism, trauma).

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, induct new colleagues, and support supervision.
• Support service users to manage finances and wellbeing.

Job description

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We're interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism and people who have experienced trauma.

Typical Shifts are: 08:00 - 20:30 working 3 shifts a week including alternate weekends Join Voyage Care and Feel Valued, we reward your dedication with:
