A leading company is seeking Support Workers to assist in homeless hostels and supported living projects across West Sussex. The role offers flexible shifts, ideal for those looking to balance work with personal commitments. Due to very high demand, we are actively recruiting Support Workers to cover shifts in homeless hostels and supported living projects across West Sussex, including but not limited to Chichester, Bognor Regis, Horsham, Worthing, Crawley and surrounding areas.
We currently have a high need for waking night staff. Support Worker shifts are available for both day and night hours on a continuous or ad-hoc basis, depending on client requirements and your availability. Our Support Workers appreciate the flexibility to work as much or as little as they like, fitting work around their lifestyle and commitments or using it as their main income source.
Ideal candidates will have experience in health and social care or a strong interest in building a career in this field, with previous experience dealing with challenging behaviors, including substance abuse issues.
Support Workers should possess the skills and mindset to work with vulnerable individuals who have faced traumatic experiences. Essential qualities include emotional resilience, patience, empathy, and the ability to maintain consistent communication and boundaries. Support Workers must be prepared to handle unpredictable and challenging behaviors.
