Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking experienced Support Workers in Burnley to help residents gain independence, within a supportive team. The role covers day-to-day activities, personal care, and community engagement as part of an exciting new Enhanced and Complex Care development.

The role requires caring, resilience and flexibility, with shifts across days and evenings. Enhanced pay structures apply as the service expands, offering meaningful progression within a sector-leading provider.

Qualifications

• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who may have experienced trauma.

Experienced Support Worker - Burnley - £12.72ph (to start then will move to £13.72 once Enhanced and Complex Care apartments open)

Typical Shifts are: Mon to Sun – days – Full time 35hrs per week – 8am-10pm shifts and 8am-3pm/3pm to 10pm - waking nights to be covered when needed

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Specialist Female* Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Burnley is an existing service where we’ve creating 2 self-contained apartments for people with Enhanced and Complex Care needs. We are recruiting a team for this exciting new development. Support Worker's will start in the main house and then move over into the Enhanced and Complex service, which is a supportive and specialist environment, and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be supporting individuals with behaviours of distress, autism and mental health needs. You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by integrating into the community, teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out in the local community, the next you could be unwinding with them in service doing activities of their choice!
