Job summary

Head First recruits support staff to assist a 37-year-old man living independently in his own home after an acquired brain injury in Burgess Hill. The role offers 2-3 shifts weekly (11 hours each) with some flexibility to meet client needs, typically 10:30am–9:30pm, and overtime may be available.

You will be part of a structured rehabilitation programme, working with healthcare professionals and family to support daily living, appointments, activities, and routines to build independence.

Support Worker

Location: Burgess Hill (RH15)

Salary: £14.70 (weekdays) | £15.23 (weekends) | Sleep-in rate at NMW/NLW (Bank Holidays paid at time and a half)

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Support Worker to join a small, friendly team supporting a 37-year-old man living independently in his own home following an acquired brain injury.

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a structured rehabilitation programme, working alongside healthcare professionals and family members to help our client live a full and meaningful life.

You will work 2-3 shifts per week (11-hour shifts), typically between 10:30am - 9:30pm, with some flexibility required to meet the client's needs. Additional overtime may be available to cover leave and absences.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting day-to-day living, including meal planning, cooking and shopping
  • Assisting with scheduling and attending appointments

  • Supporting engagement in volunteering and physical activities
  • Providing structure and guidance to help maintain routines
