Job summary

Radis Community Care are recruiting a Part Time Support Worker to join our team based at Parsons Gardens in Broadway. Shifts are 7am-3pm and 3pm-10pm, with on-site care support available 24 hours.

You will help residents with personal care, mobility and social activities, encouraging independence and privacy within their own apartments.

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and hygiene.
• Support mobility and help residents move to dining areas and communal spaces.
• Engage residents in recreational and social activities to promote wellbeing.

Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Part Time Support Worker to join our team based in Parsons Gardens in Broadway WR12

Shifts times: 7am-3pm, and 3pm-10pm

Parsons Gardens in Broadway, Worcestershire provides 50 apartments and bungalows for over 55s, offering the people that we support the privacy and independence of their own home, but with the peace of mind that there is a care team available on site 24 hours a day.

Each home has been built to a high standard, fully wheelchair accessible with level access shower rooms and modern fully fitted kitchens. The development has many communal areas and facilities including comfortable resident lounges, assisted bathroom, a guest suite, gym and activity room, cinema room, salon and a café. Some of the communal facilities, including the café, are open to residents of the surrounding area helping make Parsons Gardens the heart of the community.

Our carers strive to help the people that we support to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. Care is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within the comfort and privacy of their own apartment and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time.

The role will require you to assist the people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.

The role involves aiding the people we support with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

The role is to promote the people we support's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
