Job description

Support Worker

Pay rate: £13.00 - 13.50 (Monthly Pay)

Shift Pattern: 22:00 to 08:00, 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Sunday

We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with a child living in their family home in Birmingham. This individual has complex clinical needs, including a brain disorder, early developmental impairment, and Global Development Delay, but these do not define them. They have a great sense of humor and enjoy a wide range of hobbies.

Enriching activities will be a key part of your support, and you will bring a compassionate and empathetic approach to truly make a difference in this person's life. You should have previous experience in the following areas:

  • Complex Care
  • Brain injury
  • Epilepsy/Seizures
  • Challenging behaviors
  • Mental health

What will your shift involve?

You will provide high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring the individual receives compassionate, tailored support. Responsibilities include engaging in meaningful activities, taking them out into the community to promote social interaction and well-being, supporting household tasks, and maintaining a comfortable, organized living environment. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner is essential to building trust.

About Acuity Care Group

We have nearly 20 years of experience and over 900 staff across Operations and supporting roles. We are a Supported Living healthcare provider with three specialist divisions:

  • LD & Autism
  • Bespoke
  • Brain Injury

This role is within our Bespoke Health & Social Care division, supported by an experienced Complex Care Manager. We work in various locations supporting adults and children with complex needs and disabilities, focusing on person-centered, empowering, and tailored care to promote access to new experiences.
