Children's Residential Support Worker

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: £11.80 - £15.00 per hour

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Temporary, Permanent, Day to Day, Half Day's, Full Days

About the Role

Teacher Active is recruiting experienced and non-experienced residential support workers to work in children's homes across Birmingham and surrounding areas. Our homes support children and young adults with guidance and care. This is a great opportunity to develop your residential experience with flexible placements and immediate starts.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in and out of the care home, focusing on personal development and behaviour management.
  • Demonstrate skills such as emotional intelligence, resilience, patience, motivation, communication, maturity, teamwork, and initiative.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children or young adults in a care or education setting within the UK (essential).
  • Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
  • Understanding of safeguarding (desirable).
