Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Support Worker to provide high quality, person-centred support for a young individual with complex care needs in a residential setting in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

You will be patient, understanding and build trusting relationships, supporting on both good and challenging days, with a focus on dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in complex care or residential care is desirable.
• Excellent communication and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice.
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following approved care plans and positive behaviour support approaches.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Support Worker to provide high quality, person centered support to a young individual with complex care and support needs within a residential care setting in West Bromwich, West Midlands area. You will be working for one of UK's leading children's healthcare providers

We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference to the life of the individual they support. The right person will be patient, understanding and willing to build a trusting relationship, while being there for the individual through both their good and more challenging days

As a Support Worker your key duties include:

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following agreed care plans and positive behaviour support approaches
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure safe, consistent care

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in complex care, homecare, supported living, residential care, nursing care or a similar environment is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or support needs
• A caring, compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build professional and trusting relationships with individuals and their families

**To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care + experience working in a similar role and setting**

The successful Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £27,144 - £36,192 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 36-48 hours a week on days & nights. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
