Support Worker – The Wilf Ward Family Trust

Location: East Riding and Surrounding Areas

Salary: £12.41 per hour plus additional for weekend work

Requirements: Driving required

What will your day look like?

Our core mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs through collaboration, compassion, and understanding. The role is varied; some days are steady, others are hectic as you manage appointments and support needs. Your daily tasks may include:

  • Socialising and attending community activities, promoting hobbies and interests.
  • Providing physical support, including household tasks and personal care.
  • Supporting with life skills such as shopping and money management.
  • Delivering support based on individual support plans.

No experience is necessary as we provide full training to develop your skills. We value qualities like kindness, compassion, empathy, and a desire to make a difference, which are essential and cannot be taught.

Please note: It is a criminal offense for individuals barred from working with vulnerable groups under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 to apply for roles requiring unsupervised work with such groups. Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment checks, including DBS and references. The Wilf Ward Family Trust is committed to safeguarding.
