MacIntyre in Aylesbury is seeking a full-time Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live gloriously ordinary lives.

We are looking for a full-time Female Support Worker for Ceeley Road in Aylesbury.

Maybe you've supported a family member. Maybe a friend has a learning disability and you've seen what good support looks like - and what it doesn't. Maybe you've worked in care before and you're ready for something that feels less like a rota of tasks and more like being genuinely there for one person, walking alongside them as they live their life.

That's what support work is. It's different from traditional care work - less about a caseload, more about a relationship. You'll get to know the person you support properly: what makes them laugh, what they're working towards, what a good day looks like for them. It's not about doing things to someone or for someone - it's about supporting them do things for themselves, on their terms.

New to this? That's okay too.
You don't need a background in care to be brilliant at this. Plenty of our strongest Support Workers came from retail, hospitality, or other people-facing jobs and brought exactly what we needed - patience, reliability, and the right attitude. We'll train you from day one.

A typical day:
You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities, both at home and out in the community - mornings, days out, swimming trips, meals out, or being there when someone finally reaches a goal they've worked hard for. Every day looks different, because every person is different.
