Turning Point UK is recruiting Support Workers in Ashington to help people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs live fulfilled lives. You will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and arrange local community activities.

The role offers bespoke training, a supportive team and opportunities for development. A 24-hour service requires flexibility; full-time day and part-time positions are available with the potential for sleeps where needed.

We are currently recruiting for Full time Day staff (who will be required to do sleeps too) and Part time staff.Role ResponsibilityWhat will I be doing?This is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:promoting the independence of people we supportsupporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holidayarranging activities in the home and in the local communitydeveloping life skills and personal interestshelping our people stay safe and healthy.assisting or prompting with personal care needssupporting people with medicationensuring record keeping is always maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements.The Ideal CandidateWhat skills and qualities do I need to have?Whilst knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs would be beneficial, it isn't essential.
