Job summary

National Care Group is recruiting for Support Workers to join Cornerstones Amesbury. You will work with young adults who have complex needs in a residential setting, providing compassionate support and help to achieve personal goals.

You will assist with daily tasks, personal care, cooking and medication as needed, while promoting independence and community participation. Training and qualifications are paid to help you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is preferred.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Willing to undertake paid training and gain qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships by listening and planning goals with people.
• Plan daily tasks and assist with cooking, cleaning and errands.
• Assist with personal care and may help with eating and medication.
• Plan and participate in days out.

Service: Cornerstones Amesbury

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our team at Cornerstones Amesbury

Cornerstones Residential Service has two services in Amesbury, Wiltshire. St Patrick's, accommodation for 8 adults and Penning's view accommodation for 7. We support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential "home for life".

The service supports and enables people we support to lead a full and meaningful life, through support at home and in the community. Everyone has agreed outcome focused plans, in achieving personal goals, supporting social inclusion and promoting community access. Learning, self-development and enjoying life are promoted to achieve everyone feeling part of society.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards.

• You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
• You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
• You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
• You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
