A leading provider of community care is looking for a Care Assistant/Support Worker for their Petypher House Extra Care Scheme in Abingdon. The role focuses on assisting residents with personal care to enhance their independence, dignity, and respect. Shift times vary and include weekend work, providing a dynamic caregiving environment.
Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team based at Petypher House Extra Care Scheme in Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX13.
Petypher House is situated in Kingston Bagpuize village, approximately 6 miles from Abingdon. The development was built in 2016 and consists of 45 apartments, including 1 and 2 bedroom properties available for rent, shared ownership, and leasehold. The facility offers amenities such as a hairdressing salon, restaurant, therapy room, IT room, cinema room, and a variety of activities like bingo, knit and natter, and IT classes.
Our carers aim to help residents maintain independence for as long as possible. Care is provided on-site 24/7 and tailored to individual needs, ranging from assistance with daily activities to full support throughout day and night.
The role involves assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, and dressing. You will also have opportunities to engage residents in recreational and social activities, both individually and in groups.
The primary goal is to promote residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care.
Shift times available are: 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-7am, including alternate weekends.
