Job description

Care Assistant/Support Worker, Abingdon

Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a PART TIME Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team based at Petypher House Extra Care Scheme in Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX13.

Petypher House is located in Kingston Bagpuize village, approximately 6 miles from Abingdon. Built in 2016, it offers 45 apartments, including 1 and 2 bedroom properties available for rent, shared ownership, and leasehold. Facilities include a hairdressing salon, restaurant, therapy room, IT room, cinema room, and organized activities such as bingo, knit and natter, and IT classes.

Our carers aim to help residents maintain independence for as long as possible. Care is provided on-site 24/7, tailored to individual needs, ranging from daily assistance to support throughout day and night.

The role involves assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, and dressing. You will also have opportunities to engage residents in recreational and social activities, both individually and in groups.

The goal is to promote residents' independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care.

Shift times available: 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-7am, including alternate weekends.
