About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns to live their daily lives. Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible with them.

Our Shifts:

7am - 3.15pm | 3pm - 10pm | 10am - 6pm | 10pm - 7am (waking night)

Shift Requirement:

We are currently recruiting for staff to work either days or nights

Contract:

We have 1 x 20 hour permanent contract for days and 1 x 20 hour permanent contract for nights. We cannot offer set shifts each week, so we require flexibility to work different days of the week.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be supporting 12 amazing individuals to live their daily lives in the way they want to live them. This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Medication Administration
  • Home management, including support with cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget management
  • Mobility support - some the people we support use wheelchairs and mobility aids to safely get around
  • Daily activities - anything and everything the people we support like to do is something you might provide support with! So come ready and willing to put yourself out there and support with going to the cinema, attending discos, socialising at supper club, going for long walks, enjoying arts and crafts, baking, cooking and gardening

This service is a lone working service so our ideal candidate will have some previous care/support experience.

What We’re Looking For

At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care and that doesn’t always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
