Job summary

Brainkind is seeking a Team Leader at Kent House in Aylesbury to lead, supervise and develop a team of Support Workers delivering person-centred care. You will ensure services align with individual care plans, Brainkind policies and regulatory standards, while promoting high-quality practice and safety across the service.

The role requires experience in care settings, strong communication, and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care, support or rehabilitation environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Good knowledge of care standards, health and safety, and safeguarding requirements.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systems.

About Kent House

Kent House is Brainkind’s specialist residential rehabilitation service in Aylesbury, providing continuing rehabilitation, specialist care, and support for people living with acquired brain injuries. The service is part of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT), a leading provider of neurorehabilitation services across the UK.

The Opportunity

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services while leading, supervising, and developing a team of Support Workers. You will ensure that individuals receive person-centred support in line with their care plans, Brainkind policies, and regulatory standards.

• Support compliance with Brainkind quality audits and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with health and safety responsibilities across the service.
• Contribute to incident, accident, and safeguarding reporting.
• Support workforce planning and service delivery across the division when required.
• Represent Brainkind at meetings, events, and professional forums where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience working within a care, support, or rehabilitation environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Good knowledge of care standards, health and safety, and safeguarding requirements.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systems.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
• A flexible, positive, and person-centred approach.
