Qualifications

The service is based at the portal in Ellesmere Port; however, the team delivers care and support throughout the borough in people’s homes.

What you’ll be doing

Being a Reablement Worker means supporting people in their own homes for a short period to help them reach their full potential. This may include managing various aspects of daily living skills, setting clear and achievable goals to help people rebuild their independence and confidence, and supporting them to sustain independent living at home and in their communities.

Support workers in the Reablement team

Northwich, Winsford, Surrounding Rural Areas

Are you passionate about supporting people in your local community and working towards achieving goals with our service users to live independently in their own homes?

We are looking to recruit individuals who truly care and are committed to making a difference in people's lives. The role involves a day-a-week service; successful candidates would be expected to work alternate weekends and bank holidays.

Enhanced rates are paid for Bank Holidays, Evening, and Weekend working.

Shift patterns include:

• am – pm
• am – pm
• pm – pm

As a provider service for adult social care, we offer several Reablement worker opportunities within the borough, working for the local government that values its staff and aims to improve the lives of our service users.

Travel is required as part of this role; please demonstrate on your application how you would meet this requirement.

What you will be doing…

You’ll work with a warm, friendly team based in Vale Royal and rural areas within Cheshire West and Chester.

Joining the Reablement team, you will be part of a wider community team supporting service users and their families to live full and independent lives.

Being a Reablement support worker involves supporting people in their homes for a short period to help them reach their full potential. This includes:

• Managing daily living skills, including personal and intimate care, to support independence
• Setting clear, achievable goals to rebuild independence
• Building confidence for sustained independent living
• Medication management
• Supporting meal preparations

This is a community-based role; a driving licence is essential.

Previous experience in care is not required, as full training is provided.
