Job summary

Cornerstone Uphall is seeking caring, reliable people to join our team supporting four individuals in their shared home. You’ll build genuine relationships, help with daily living, cook meals, and take part in activities that matter to them. We offer full paid training; no prior experience needed.

Shifts vary 07:00–21:00 with sleepovers and occasional nights; options for full-time or part-time work. Successful applicants support the community and develop personal skills, with PVG and ongoing

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full paid training provided.
• Willingness to commit to SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.
• Ability to build genuine relationships with individuals you support.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living tasks and activities.
• Assist with meals, hobbies and social outings to promote independence.
• Support individuals to build confidence and maintain their quality of life.

You'll become part of a fun, friendly team supporting four amazing people within their shared home, along with some individuals who visit us for short break stays.

You'll build a genuine relationship with each of the individuals and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood.

In addition to supporting the individuals with all aspects of their daily living, you'll also support them with their hobbies and interests too, including trips to the local pub, baking, dominoes and going for walks.

Shift patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts usually fall between the hours of 0700-2100 hours with sleepovers, waking nights, weekend and public holidays forming part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you'll receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover shift you work. Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
