Job summary

Cornerstone in Stonehaven is seeking caring individuals to join our team as support workers. You will help people with physical and learning disabilities live independently at home and in the community, assisting with daily routines, cooking, activities and outings. No experience?

No problem! We’ll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way, including funded qualifications. Sleepovers and shift work are part of the role, with opportunities for progression and discounts on everyday

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided and funded qualifications.
• Willing to undergo SVQ training and join SVSC with support from Training Academy.
• Join SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible shift patterns will usually fall into patterns early shifts and backshifts. Sleepovers, public holidays and weekends would be a requirement on a rotational basis.

Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you'll receive an additional sleepover payment of £107.60 per sleepover shift worked.

If you don't live in the Stonehaven area and are not a driver, we will need you to be mindful of the location of our services and be confident that you can travel for your shifts as there are limited public transport links available that fit with all of our shift patterns.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
