Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. We have vacancies within our Home-Based Respite service and Care at Home service. Our Home-Based Respite service in Seaboard provides support to carers by giving them a break, while ensuring the people they care for continue to get the help they need at home through delivering person-centred support.
As a Support Practitioner with the Care at Homer service, your role involves supporting people to manage daily life. This will often include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care as well as other aspects of their daily life. Our role is not to do things for people, but to work with them.
We are looking for people who are caring, reliable, and motivated to make a difference in their community. Full training is provided and you will be supported to achieve an SVQ in Health and Social Care while you work. You will need a driving licence, as you will travel to support people in rural areas.
You will build strong, trusting relationships with people and their families.
We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns, supporting people when they need it, including days, evenings, and weekends.
