Job summary

Cornerstone in the Scottish Borders is seeking Support Practitioners for full-time, part-time and relief roles to help adults with disabilities live life to the fullest. Roles cover Galashiels, Hawick, Jedburgh, Melrose, St Boswells, Earlston and Tweedbank.

You'll join a friendly team, receive full paid training with no experience required, and support candidates through PVG checks and SSSC registration with our Training Academy.

Our fantastic #TeamBordersCSas Support Practitioners on a full-time and part-time, permanent basis. We also have relief opportunities too if you'd prefer something a bit more flexible.

We provide support across the Scottish Borders, including Galashiels, Hawick, Jedburgh, Melrose, St Boswells, Earlston, and Tweedbank.

We'll need you to have:

Shift Patterns

Because everyone we support is different, your shifts may be too:

• Shifts between 0715-2000 hours
• Weekends worked on a rotational basis

And occasionally:

• Later shifts for activities, concerts and shows
• Sleepovers to support holidays and trips away

We're looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and may close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
