Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking a dedicated Support Practitioner in Erskine to help individuals with daily living activities, including medication support and personal care. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork and strong communication to foster independence and wellbeing.

You will join a 39-hour week, full-time, permanent team with comprehensive in-house training and a commitment to inclusive, supportive care across Scotland.

Our fantastic team in Erskine are on the lookout for an understanding and creative individual with a positive attitude to join them as a Support Practitioner on a full-time, permanent basis (39 hours per week).

You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.

It would be great if you have a full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years’ driving experience as many of the people we support have their own mobility cars. However, this is not essential to join our team.

The Role

As a Support Practitioner, you will assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of their daily lives, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care. The individuals we support enjoy being active and have many interests and hobbies including going to college, out for a spot of lunch, to the disco or to watch the football, trips to the safari park and many more. With your support you will enable the people we support to grow with independence and confidence as they work towards goals and outcomes.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24/7 person-centred care and shift patterns include early, late, sleepovers, waking nights along with weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours, so for every sleep you cover you will receive an additional £107.60 in your pay.
