Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a flexible relief worker to support an active gentleman with Autism in Blairgowrie. You’ll assist with daily living tasks, meals, shopping, and outings, while encouraging independence and safety.

We value individuals who are reliable, patient, practical, and eager to learn. A full UK driving licence is desirable. Shifts run 10am–11pm with sleepovers; you’ll join a friendly team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the local community.

Why relief work matters

Our relief roles are all about flexibility; you tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts to fit. As we are dedicated to providing the best support 24/7, shifts are currently 10am-11pm with a sleepover finishing at 10am the following morning. You'll be the person who steps up to cover holidays, absences and training, ensuring that our standard of care and support never drops. It's a key role in our team and what you do genuinely makes a difference. Shift patterns for this role do include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers.

What We’ll Need From You

You don't need experience or qualifications, we're more interested in who you are.

We're looking for someone who is:
  • Reliable and easy to get along with
  • Practical and willing to get involved
  • Positive, patient and willing to learn new skills

It would be great if you also have a full UK driving license with at least one years' experience on the roads, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate!

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us. Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
