Job summary

A2Dominion is seeking a Support Officer for an onsite role in Oxford (OX4 3LA). The 12-month fixed term contract offers a salary of £25,526 to £29,556 per annum and a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday.

DBS Enhanced clearance is required, and a commitment to helping residents sustain tenancies is essential. The role focuses on assessing referrals, promoting independence, and coordinating with health professionals and partners to support individuals in need.

Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade A*–C).
  • Strong understanding of supporting individuals to achieve and maintain independence.
  • Experience working with diverse client groups.
  • Ability to motivate and support individuals facing complex challenges, including homelessness, mental health issues, trauma, substance misuse, and behavioural needs.
  • Goodunderstanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
  • Confident using IT systems and management information tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with external agencies and stakeholder

Responsibilities

  • Assess referrals and engage with prospective clients using a person-centered approach, and liaise with health professionals/other agencies/colleagues as appropriate
  • Ensure that prospective and current clients are fully aware of thesupport available, their financial obligations, rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/occupation arrangements and all related procedures
  • Agree and review client Independent Living Plans and Risk Assessments on a regular basis, deliver contracted hours of support to achieve the required outcomes
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Forge and maintain links with partner agencies and other key stakeholders as appropriate to ensure that good communication and co-operation is maintained
  • Report any concerns relating to safeguarding of vulnerable people using the correct procedures, attending case conferences and other meetings as required
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation and records are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that prospective and current clients are fully aware of thesupport available, their financial obligations, rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/occupation arrangements and all related procedures.

About you
