Job summary

Clancy is recruiting for a Water Mainlaying Support Driver to back up our operating teams by delivering materials, tools and equipment to sites around the Kent and Sussex region. You will support water mainlaying crews with day-to-day activities and help ensure the teams have resources to carry out essential water main installation.

We seek individuals with a full driving licence, NRSWA Units 1 and 2, strong organisational skills, and a readiness to work in a physically demanding outdoor

Qualifications

• Must hold a full driving licence and NRSWA Units 1 and 2 (Signing, Lighting and Guarding).
• Good organisational skills and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Enjoy working in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of vehicle and plant machinery.
• Assist teams with works in highway and private properties; deliver signs, barriers, fittings, and letter drops.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure sites are safe before and after work.
• Minimise disruption to residents.

As a Water Mainlaying Support Driver, you will play a vital role in supporting our operational teams by ensuring materials, tools, plant, and equipment are delivered safely and efficiently to sites across the Kent and Sussex Region.

You will be responsible for assisting water mainlaying crews with day to day activities, and ensuring teams have the resources they need to carry out essential water main installation. Without your support, our teams would be unable to deliver the water infrastructure that keeps fresh water flowing to thousands of homes and businesses.

Here are just some of the activities you'll be involved in...

• Ensure the safe operation of vehicle & plant machinery
• Assist teams carrying out works in the highway and on private property and premises , helping to set up site and close, delivering signs & barriers, running out fittings to the team and letter drops
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring sites are safe prior to start and following completion of work
• Minimise disruption to residents

We'd love to hear from you if...

If you hold a full driving licence, NRSWA Units 1 and 2 (Signing, Lighting and Guarding), have good organisational skills, a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a physically demanding outdoor environment, we would love to hear from you. Previous experience within the utilities, construction, or water industry would be advantageous, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety are equally important.
