Support Coordinator - (241108)

Location: Middlesbrough Young Persons Services

Type: Permanent, part-time (30 hours per week)

Additional pay for one sleepover per week (£55 per sleepover, totaling approximately £2,860 per year)

Salary: £12.61 per hour (£24,664 per annum pro-rata) plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Join a team that cares and empowers you to make a difference in young people's lives. As our Support Coordinator, you'll support young customers with complex needs to develop skills for independent living, helping them achieve their hopes and aspirations.

Typical responsibilities:

  1. Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a team of Support Workers.
  2. Working with looked-after children or children in need, ensuring Ofsted Supported Housing standards are met.
  3. Assisting with daily activities like meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancies, and transitioning to independent living.
  4. Conducting risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  5. Building rapport with customers and collaborating with colleagues.

What you bring:

  1. Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives with attention to detail.
  2. Experience in creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues.
  3. Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
  4. Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and be resilient.

Note: Due to sponsorship limitations, we cannot currently offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.

Our team:

You will join John, our Ofsted-registered manager, and Nicola, our Senior Client Service Manager, along with support coordinators and support workers in Middlesbrough. We are passionate, supportive, and committed to work/life balance. This is a new service, and you will be part of establishing quality from the start, with full induction and ongoing training provided.

Job details:

  1. Flexible start and finish times to meet customer needs.
  2. Rotas involving early starts and late finishes, with shifts from 8 am to 10 pm. Sleep-ins may be required.
  3. Regular team meetings and training, with opportunities to use technology for support planning and collaboration.
  4. Enhanced DBS check required; paid for by us.
