Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a warm, proactive care lead to support service users across our Tameside Extra Care sites. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily living tasks and work closely with families to promote a positive atmosphere.

The role requires at least two years' care experience and a willingness to develop through our induction, local training, and Level 3 qualifications. A flexible roster, including evenings and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years' care experience.
• Experience in senior roles within domiciliary or extra care.
• Training provided including Level 3 Diploma upon completion.

Job description

We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive individual to take a lead in providing person-centered care and support to our services users. The Tameside Extra Care services comprise of three extra care sites across the Tameside borough, The schemes consist of a number of one bedroom and two bedroomed self-contained flats, with a proportion of individuals receiving a care service. Needs may include dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs. You will also assist the Registered Manager in ensuring an empowering service which meets the needs of our clients and works with theservice user's families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere . You must be flexible, energetic and reliable. Creative Support is committed to your continuous professional development and as a successful candidate you will receive a full local and corporate induction, and attain a level 3 certificate in 'Preparing to Work in Adult Social
Care'. On completion of your probationary period, you will automatically be enrolled onto the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your training and development needs during regular supervision and appraisal meetings. You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with personal care and domestic tasks, and supporting individuals to access work, education and social opportunities. We value the personal skills and interests you bring to the role and to the lives of the people we support, such as, sports and outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music, and cooking to name but a few. You will be required to work in a flexible manner, on a roster basis, which will include evenings, weekends. A minimum of two years' experience is essential for this role and previous experience working within a senior role within Domicilliary Care or Extra Care Full training
is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
