Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support secondary students in Wakefield across 1:1 and small group intervention roles. You will help pupils access the curriculum, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers to plan targeted sessions.

Candidates with experience working with children, a patient and nurturing approach, and GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are encouraged to apply. Long-term placements available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across Wakefield. These long-term positions involve supporting students on a 1:1 basis and delivering targeted small group interventions, helping young people to reach their full academic and personal potential.
