Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary education desirable.
• Confidence teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching expectations.
• Strong communication, classroom management and organisation skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using provided materials and plans.
• Supervise students across different secondary subjects and year groups.
• Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain positive behaviour.
• Adjust teaching approaches to support varied abilities and learning needs.

Pay Rate: £150 - £200 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

The Supply Teacher will provide continuity of education by delivering planned learning activities, encouraging student engagement, and maintaining an organised classroom environment. Your ability to adapt quickly and establish positive relationships will help learners stay focused and make progress.

Supply Teacher Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons using teaching materials and plans provided by schools
• Supervise students across different secondary subjects and year groups
• Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain positive behaviour
• Adjust teaching approaches to support different abilities and learning requirements
• Encourage active participation, independent learning, and academic confidence
• Provide feedback to school staff regarding lesson completion, student engagement, and classroom activities

Supply Teacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Previous experience teaching in secondary education is desirable
• Confidence working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching expectations
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
