Job summary

Milk Education is seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in Gateshead and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment.

You'll work closely with school leadership to ensure continuity of learning across KS3-KS5, adapt teaching to different needs and provide timely feedback on pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is required.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff is important.
  • Proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education is expected.
  • Ability to provide two recent references is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3-KS5 (or within your subject specialism).
  • Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
  • Support pupils' academic progress and engagement.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required.

Job description

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
