Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Create a supply plan for Ellon production and Eurocentral repack balancing efficiency, stock freshness and availability.
  • Plan finished goods for NPD and delists ensuring on-time launches and flag risks.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory across a portfolio of 100+ SKUs; manage obsolescence.
  • Review and develop finished goods inventory policies and propose changes.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, packaging and brewing teams to align supply with targets.
  • Lead weekly planning and production meetings and prepare master data inputs as needed.
  • Contribute to S&OP cycles with analysis and presentation content.

About The Role

Job Purpose

The Supply Planner is responsible for creating thebrewing and finished goods production plans, that meets our customersrequirements on time and in full, as well as managing inventory effectively,and minimising finished goods obsolescence.


Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Create a supply plan that balances efficiency, stock freshness, stock levels and customer availability. This will be for Ellon production and repack at Eurocentral.

  • Plan the finished goods for NPD and delists, to ensure new products launch on time, with all your own tasks to be completed on time and any risks flagged. For delists, minimise any write off of finished goods.

  • Monitor and maintain the inventory levels of finished goods, with a portfolio of over 100 SKUs.

  • Review & develop finished goods inventory policies, making proposals for any changes.



  • Communicate any potential shortages or over stocks to supply chain and sales teams.

  • Coordinate with materials planning to ensure supply plans are achievable with materials plans.

  • Provide any insights or changes required to master data based on any run rates, lot sizes, inventory rules, to the owner of master data.

  • Interact with scheduling, packaging and brewing teams to agree on supply plans in line with inventory, service, obsolescence and efficiency targets – ensure all teams are aligned and understand the supply plan.

  • Create supply strategies to deal with different types of products and to manage events (e.g. shutdowns, seasonal peaks).

  • Identify long term strategic supply opportunities that create efficiencies and reduce cost within the supply chain and operations.

  • Undertake a critical role within the weekly planning & production meetings, ensuring all timelines are kept to, and all detail on supply plan for raw materials into our various warehouses is fully prepared.

  • Coordinate within the wider supply chain and production team to develop best practices and share knowledge.

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement within the role, leading to reduced issues, and improved ways of working.

  • Assist in the development and implementation on any supply planning tools or system improvements.

  • Contribute to the S&OP cycle by undertaking analysis, or preparing content to present in the Supply Review.


Key Relationships - Internal & External


  • Key stakeholders are scheduling, materials planning, demand planning, packaging, brewing, procurement, maintenance and warehousing.

  • Other key internal stakeholders include NPD, finance and marketing.

  • Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times

  • Complete online or face to face training as and when required

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training

A degree in supply chain management, logistics,business or a similar field is desirable.


Experience


  • Demonstrable experience in a similar supply planning role, or similar, and preferably within an FMCG environment.

  • Demonstrable experience using ERP systems, including SAP.


Knowledge


  • Understanding of supply planning processes, including inventory policies and planning strategies.

  • Understanding of production & manufacturing processes and facilities.

  • Understanding of supply and production planning systems would be desirable.

  • Understanding of S&OP, and how supply planning contributes to this process.


Skills


  • Advanced excel skills and ability to manipulate and analyse complex data.

  • Developed in using supply planning systems, and how to drive the right outputs.

  • Developed stakeholder management and engagement skills, including communication and negotiation.

  • Developed organisational skills and ability to prioritise and adapt to changing needs.

  • Basic commercial awareness, including the impact volumes have on costs.

Additional Requirements


  • Preference for Ellon based role, but candidates in the Central Belt would also be considered.
