Job summary

Hillarys in the United Kingdom is seeking a Supply Planner to own demand, supply and stock planning across the business. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to balance customer service with inventory efficiency, support launches and end-of-life planning, and drive data-led decision making.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years' experience within Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning or a similar role.
  • Experience working within the UK market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
  • Experience using SAP or another ERP system, SAP knowledge advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, forecasting and planning principles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to changing supply and demand requirements.
  • Proactive mindset with interest in continuous improvement, automation and digitalisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply in line with demand to achieve service level targets.
  • Ensure availability of finished goods, raw materials and packaging for production and customer demand.
  • Forecast future requirements for new product ranges, promotions and demand changes.
  • Replenish and manage stock within targets and budgets.
  • Monitor stock availability and identify shortages or supply issues.
  • Communicate stock shortages and updates with Customer Service and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain planning parameters and master data in SAP.
  • Ensure SAP reflects stock positions, goods in transit and orders.
  • Provide planning insights to support S&OP and commercial teams.
  • Monitor KPIs like OTIF, stock availability and lead-time adherence.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes through automation and data-led decisions.

Job description

As part of our Planning function, the Supply Planner will play a key role in ensuring product availability, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and supporting strong supply chain performance across the UK business. You will take ownership of your planning portfolio, managing supply, demand and stock levels to ensure products and materials are available when needed. Working closely with suppliers and teams across the wider business, you will help balance customer service requirements with inventory efficiency. The role will also provide the opportunity to support new product launches, promotional activity and end-of-life planning, as well as contribute to the continued improvement and digitalisation of our planning processes.   • Manage supply in line with demand to achieve agreed service level targets.
  • Ensure the availability of finished goods, raw materials and packaging required to support production and customer demand.

  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams including Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Finance.
  • Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning to ensure stock is managed effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes through automation, digitalisation and data led decision making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the wider Planning and Supply Chain function., Play an important role in shaping supply planning and inventory performance across our UK business.
  • Gain exposure to the end-to-end supply chain, from forecasting and inventory management through to new product introductions.
  • Work closely with a wide range of teams, including Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Finance.
