Job summary

Nutreco's Trouw Nutrition GB division is seeking a Supply Network Planner - Materials and Production. You will own end-to-end production and material planning across multiple lines, coordinating materials, production orders and inbound logistics to meet customer demand while minimising risk.

The role requires strong expertise in production and material planning, ERP systems (M3 preferred) and Excel, with Power BI as a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of production and material planning experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with production scheduling and material planning.
  • Solid understanding of production processes and inbound/outbound logistics.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems (M3 preferred) and Excel.
  • Power BI experience is an advantage.
  • Able to work autonomously with ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Senior mindset to guide less experienced planners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate risks across supply, production, and logistics.
  • Maintain ERP data accuracy and planning parameters in the system.
  • Communicate customer requirements and challenges; support continuous improvement.

In this role, you will play a key role within our manufacturing operations in the team in the UK & IR, ensuring stability, efficiency, and continuity across multiple production locations in UK, IR, NL and BL and material flows. This is a highly visible and impactful position, offering ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real difference in a critical site

What you’ll do

As a Supply Network Planner - Materials and Production, you will own end-to-end production and material planning across multiple manufacturing lines, ensuring smooth coordination of materials, production orders, and inbound logistics to meet customer demand while minimising operational risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with a local manufacture in Belfast for manufacture of products
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging, proactively managing shortages and supply risks
  • Manage material planning and production scheduling to ensure stable operations and reliable delivery
  • Optimise production sequencing to minimise downtime, changeovers, and bottlenecks
  • Coordinate daily with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to align priorities and constraints
  • Monitor demand trends and adjust plans to ensure service continuity
  • Identify and mitigate risks across supply, production, and logistics
  • Manage planning activities in ERP systems (M3 preferred), ensuring data accuracy and effective planning parameters
  • Own the customer requirements and communicate any challenges
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and overall operational stability
Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Supply Network, hands-on planning professional who is comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and who brings strong technical expertise in production and material planning.

You’ll also need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with production scheduling and material planning (mandatory)
  • Solid understanding of production processes and inbound/outbound logistics
  • High proficiency in ERP systems (M3 preferred) and Excel (mandatory)
  • Experience with Power BI is an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally
  • A senior mindset with the ability to support and guide less experienced planners
Location & Practicalities
  • Location: Ashbourne or Belfast
  • Work model: 100% on-site is preferred
  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent
  • Travel: Occasional based on Business needs
