Job summary

Singer Vehicle Design in Woodford Halse is seeking a Supply Chain Systems & Data Analyst to ensure effective data management and governance within our MRP system. You will maintain master data accuracy, manage BOM data, and drive improvements in data quality and system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory, demand and master data within the MRP system.
  • Manage BOM maintenance within the MRP system and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Validate BOMs to ensure data entering the supply chain is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate Engineering Changes and manage superseded parts through stock depletion or other dispositions.
  • Act as the primary contact for Engineering on part master data and data standards.
  • Gather and maintain supplier information including BOM costs, lead times, and batch sizes.
  • Drive continuous improvements to BOM management and data integrity to enhance data quality.
  • Develop, monitor and report on Logistics and Supply Chain performance metrics.
  • Implement industry best practices to improve data governance and processes.

Location: Woodford Halse
Job Type: Full Time
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Supply Chain Systems and Analytics Manager

Hours of Work: Your normal hours of work are from 07:30 to 16.15 from Monday to Thursday and 7.00 to 15.30 on Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. The role may occasionally require additional hours to support business needs and meet the requirements of the position. 1 day working from home available.

Job Summary

As the Supply Chain Systems & Data Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring effective data management and governance within our Inventory and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system, demonstrating our philosophy that "Everything is Important."

The role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and governance of master data to support engineering, supply chain, and production activities. Key responsibilities include managing Bill of Materials (BOM) data, engineering change implementation, and part master records while driving continuous improvements to data quality, system performance, and business processes.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will support efficient planning, inventory management, and operational performance through accurate data management, analysis, and process optimisation. You will also play a key role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain systems, data integrity, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory, demand, and master data within the MRP system.
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance within the MRP system, including creating part numbers, maintaining part attributes, managing part lineage, and developing standard operating procedures.
  • Validate BOMs to ensure data entering the supply chain is accurate, complete, and aligned with engineering change documentation.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Engineering Changes, ensuring superseded parts are appropriately managed through stock depletion, scrappage, or other approved disposition processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering on part master data management and support continuous improvement initiatives relating to part numbering, data standards, and system processes.
  • Conduct research to gather, validate, and maintain supplier information, including BOM costs, lead times, shutdown periods, minimum order quantities, and batch sizes.
  • Drive continuous improvements to BOM management and data integrity to enhance the quality and reliability of MRP data.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on Logistics and Supply Chain performance metrics, ensuring data accuracy and following up on issues to maintain data quality.
  • Implement industry best practices and standards to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and governance of data management processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
