Singer Vehicle Design in Woodford Halse seeks a BOM Controller to manage Bills of Material across global programmes. You will ensure BoMs are accurate and engineering changes are processed efficiently, supporting an environment of high complexity in bespoke vehicle specifications.
The role sits within the PMO and interacts with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and CX teams. A detail‑driven, proactive team player with automotive experience is essential.

The role will be responsible for supporting the management of Bills of Material (BoMs) for all programmes across our global business. Key responsibilities will be to ensure the BoMs are maintained to the highest standard and Engineering changes are processed accurately and efficiently.
We specialise in bespoke customer offerings which drives high complexity into our vehicle specifications. Therefore, we require an individual who has a thorough and diligent nature to ensure we robustly create and maintain BoMs that deliver to our customer requirements.
The BOM Controller will also support the Senior manager and wider teams with the implementation of strategic and operational enhancements to the BoM and other key data management workstreams.
This role will offer the successful candidate the ability to define future state operations by contributing to ongoing process and system enhancement, building on established methods and tools that are tailored to the needs of the Singer business, which makes this a truly unique and exciting opportunity.
The role resides within the Programme Management Office (PMO) as a function group within that organisation but will also interact closely with all key stakeholders throughout the business to deliver efficient and robust support.

Supports the creation of BoMs (BoM set up) for new programmes as part of the KO Gateway
Maintenance of all BoMs across all programmes and global locations during both prototype development and series production
Part number registration, rules and conventions, numbering and naming
Part revisioning rules and enforcement
Identification and assignment of variant configuration rules
Mapping of customer options to Master Assemblies
Ensure engineering solutions are available or in work for all variant and option requirements.
CAD structure and drawing checks.
Support for business system software implementation and development
Programme team, Engineering (includes CAD office), Manufacturing, Procurement, Aftersales, Series Engineering, Customer Experience (CX) and Spec team.
MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint) – essential
MS SharePoint and Teams – preferable
General database structure and concept knowledge – preferable
Dassault 3DExperience or Siemens Teamcenter PLM platform - preferable
You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, be confident to work independently with guidance. Resilience, an acceptance of change management with the willing to self-develop with any future training and development needs.
