Job summary

Reed is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for a three-month contract to support demand, supply and inventory planning. You will coordinate with procurement, production, logistics and customer service to ensure on-time delivery and optimal stock levels.

Ideal candidates have prior planning roles, strong Excel and ERP/MRP experience, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This contract offers valuable end-to-end exposure and a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Planner, Demand Planner, Production Planner, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain planning tools.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage demand and supply plans to ensure stock availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages or excess stock.
  • Raise and track purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Analyse sales forecasts and support inventory planning activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Produce reports and deliver planning insights to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner to join a fast-paced business on a 3-month temporary basis, supporting the planning and coordination of supply chain activities to ensure products are delivered efficiently and on time.

Day-to-Day of the role:
  • Managing demand and supply plans to ensure stock availability.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential shortages or excess stock.
  • Raising and tracking purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Coordinating with procurement, production, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Analysing sales forecasts and supporting inventory planning activities.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Producing reports and providing planning insights to stakeholders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
  • Maintaining accurate planning data within ERP and planning systems.
