The post holder will manage the day to day Materials Management Service for dedicated areas at the Trust. The Materials Management Service provides a range of tasks including ordering, distribution and put away service, which requires initiative to ensure a robust service is delivered.The post holder will ensure the efficient and accurate receipting of goods and services into the trust and be responsible for the timely delivery of all goods received to their point of need.
The post holder will undertake regular stock review meetings with the appropriate ward managers to assess and improve the service, this will be achieved by utilising system reporting, product standardisation and savings opportunities.The post holder will ensure that all activity complies with the requirements of the Trust policies including procurement, infection control and health and safety.
The post holder will promote the benefits of efficient stock management offering advice and guidance to all departments to achieve an optimum stock level.The post holder will be a main point of contact for suppliers in particular managing delivery schedules, stock issues, implementing new products and stock returns.Working with procurement the post holder will assist in identifying savings opportunities and help drive change on the front line with the clinical departments.
