Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Merchandiser to join our Bookings Team at B&M, in our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool. This is a full-time, permanent office-based position, ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a fast-paced and expanding retail business.

Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for analysing and scheduling palletised FMCG deliveries into our distribution centre at The FORT in Bedford. To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong analytical and communication skills, along with excellent attention to detail.

This position would suit someone currently in a similar role, or an Assistant Merchandiser keen to progress and further develop their skills in a busy supply chain team, with strong links and exposure to the buying office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysing stock levels and allocating delivery slots for suppliers.
• Liaising with suppliers and hauliers via telephone and email.
• Booking deliveries using the TOREX system.
• Issuing delivery confirmations to suppliers.
• Resolving supplier and haulier queries in a timely manner.
• Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.
  
  

Skills & Experience Required

• An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret stock levels and sales trends.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential (including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident in building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organised, with strong time management and the ability to work at pace.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, though not essential.
