Job description

This is a unique opportunity to join a global leader in high-value, complex products as a Supply Chain Manager, where you will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of all components and materials needed for production. You will lead inbound supply planning and coordination, working closely with global suppliers, engineering, and operations to maintain a resilient and responsive supply chain.

The company combines the scale and opportunity of a global organisation with the support and connection of a strong local presence, underpinned by a genuinely people-first culture. With a firm commitment to professional growth and employee wellbeing, it offers structured CPD, access to extensive training resources, and fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where innovation is actively encouraged and valued.

As the Supply Chain Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the availability of all inbound materials and components to support the manufacturing of high-complexity, high-value technology products
  • Developing and managing supply plans aligned with production schedules and project timelines
  • Collaborating with global suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, resolve potential bottlenecks, and proactively manage risks
  • Monitoring and optimizing inventory levels to balance availability with working capital targets
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain responsiveness
  • Working closely with global and quality teams to maintain high supplier performance standards
  • Developing KPIs and reporting tools to monitor supply chain performance and support data-informed decision-making
  • Supporting product lifecycle transitions, including new product introductions and engineering changes

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Proven experience in a supply chain management role, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of material planning, supplier management, and inventory control
  • Experience in demand forecasting and demand planning skills
  • Ability to manage global supply networks and high-mix, low-volume production models
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools
