Job summary

Owen Daniels in Derby is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a permanent role with start ASAP. Role leads Planning and Purchasing, aligning production, capacity and material plans with business needs.

Responsibilities include managing production planning and SIOP, overseeing the sales orderbook, driving supplier performance, and developing the supply chain team within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager or similar leadership role within precision manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production planning/SIOP and purchasing.
• Experienced using ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong supplier communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Planning and Purchasing teams, managing customer demand through the SIOP process to ensure production, capacity and material plans are aligned with business requirements.
• Managing the production planning process, ensuring customer demand is translated into achievable production schedules through effective capacity planning and SIOP.
• Managing the sales orderbook, monitoring customer demand changes, producing KPI reports, and working closely with manufacturing to ensure delivery performance and operational targets are achieved.
• Driving supplier performance, managing key supplier relationships, implementing cost reduction initiatives, improving purchasing processes and using ERP systems to optimise planning, scheduling, inventory and supply chain performance.
• Coaching and developing the supply chain team, embedding lean processes, improving KPI performance, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and supply chain best practice.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong supplier communication experience
