Job summary

Confidential in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced supply chain supervisor to oversee end-to-end logistics, coordinate with global processes, and manage team performance. You will ensure accurate forecasting, inventory control and effective collaboration with customers, suppliers and 3PLs.

The role emphasizes process improvement, data-driven decisions and strong communication across functions, with responsibilities spanning shipping, warehousing and month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or global supply chain within a busy operations environment.
• Proven track record in managing projects from planning through to delivery.
• Team leadership experience including workload allocation and performance management.
• Strong MRP systems knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
• High computer literacy, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the supply chain, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate activities in line with global processes and performance targets.
• Prepare quotations for spot shipments and assess commercial changes.
• Oversee month-end activities and timely completion of related processes.
• Supervise logistics operations including shipping, transport and warehousing.
• Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
• Prepare accurate monthly operational and financial forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels according to global standards and business needs.
• Support new methodologies, processes and workflow improvements.
• Coordinate introduction of new projects with clear responsibilities and timescales.
• Drive progress reviews and continuous improvement actions to completion.
• Support delivery of the team's objectives and performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with global standards, processes and targets.
• Manage individual performance and training, ensuring required standards.
