Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Senior Buyer / Supply Chain Lead for a manufacturing operation in Findern, UK. You will own purchasing activities and lead warehouse, goods-in, inventory, and replenishment functions to support production and customer delivery.

The role requires strong supplier management, ERP/MRP and Excel capabilities, plus leadership of a busy supply chain team and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Buyer, Senior Buyer or Purchasing Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong supplier management and purchasing experience.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery schedules.
• Proven track record of resolving supply chain challenges and material shortages.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier order books and purchasing activities across the business.
• Build and develop strong supplier relationships; monitor delivery, quality and cost performance.
• Drive inventory accuracy and stock integrity; optimise levels for production.
• Lead day-to-day warehouse and goods-in operations.
• Support MRP, Kanban and replenishment processes; resolve material availability issues.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team; promote continuous improvement.
