Job description

We are currently working with an exciting business that is at the start of its journey, manufacturing a truly unique product. The company currently supplies predominantly to food service customers, with plans to expand into retail when the time is right. Due to continued growth and increased pressure on the existing team, we are pleased to be recruiting a Finance and Supply Chain Manager to support the ongoing growth of the business.

Reporting to the MD, this role will oversee all financial and performance control functions required of a small manufacturing operation. Some outsourced support from an accountancy firm familiar with the business will be provided where necessary.

Finance Responsibilities

1. Maintain or manage financial records, including receipt, input, and production of day-to-day commercial documents, and oversee bookkeeping protocols.
2. Oversee the production of Monthly Management Accounts in prescribed P&L and Balance Sheet formats, and present analysis at monthly investor meetings.
3. Take ownership of budget and forecast models for internal and external scrutiny as required.
4. Control and maximize cash flow through timely collection of debtor balances and management of creditor payments.
5. Oversee order processing and invoice production.

Performance Control Responsibilities

1. Evaluate the introduction of software into the company and develop existing systems to maximize customer service and productivity, maintaining business effectiveness.
2. Develop and maintain a KPI infrastructure to monitor performance and costs.
3. Provide sales analysis and related systems to support business development.
4. Generate adhoc reports, analysis, and performance data to improve business performance.
5. Maintain accurate stock records, including rotation and picking disciplines, to minimize stock losses.

To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong background in either finance or supply chain analytics.
