Job summary

Glen Callum Associates is assisting a central UK business to recruit a Supply Chain & Demand Planning Specialist for Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Northamptonshire. The role focuses on shaping and transforming planning through data-driven methods, forecasting, and inventory management.

You will own end-to-end planning processes, drive improvements, implement new planning technology, and collaborate across functions to deliver robust supply chain performance and resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain and/or demand planning.
• Experience in complex manufacturing/distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory, and planning processes.
• Experience with planning tools and technologies.
• Experience with process improvement or system implementation.
• Ability to influence across multiple functions.
• Interest in technology, data and improving planning capability.
• Ambition to progress towards management roles.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of supply chain and demand planning processes and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, planning, inventory and supply-chain efficiency.
• Define and implement new processes, systems and ways of working.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of new planning technology.
• Work collaboratively across multiple functions and influence stakeholders.
• Challenge existing approaches and introduce practical improvements.
• Contribute to the development of the wider supply chain and demand planning strategy.
• Use data, systems and insight to improve planning accuracy, availability and inventory performance.
• Help establish more robust and consistent planning disciplines as the business grows.
