Job summary

W Talent seeks an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager for a 12-month contract to oversee supplier performance and delivery in a high-value engineering environment. You will drive improvements, manage risks, and coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to maintain schedules.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, planning skills, and ERP experience, with a focus on delivering complex programmes on time and in full.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations in a complex engineering environment.
• Proven track record of supplier performance improvements.
• Strong project management and planning capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve supplier delivery performance to ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
• Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and influence stakeholders.
• Lead supplier reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Use project management tools (Gantt charts, plans, critical path) to support delivery.
• Expedite urgent orders to protect programme schedules.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and drive improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve challenges.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of delivery failures and implement fixes.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity.
