Job summary

Arbex, London-based, is seeking a Supply Chain Counsel to support its supply chain and procurement teams with practical, commercially-focused legal advice. You’ll help manage contracting, risk, and compliance across an international footprint, drafting and negotiating key agreements covering manufacturing, logistics, packaging and services.

Reporting to General Counsel, this role starts with close supervision and grows toward greater autonomy as you build expertise in supply chain, procurement

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent with post-qualification experience and meaningful commercial law experience.
• Experience in an international organization and/or a reputable law firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on supply chain and procurement matters affecting operations globally.
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements covering manufacturing, tolling, raw materials, packaging, logistics, warehousing, distribution, engineering, maintenance, services and technology.
• Assess contractual risks, identify emerging issues and elevate material risks appropriately.
• Support plant operations, capacity changes, supplier transitions, business continuity planning and transformation projects.
• Help implement legal and compliance initiatives relating to competition law, anti-corruption, sustainability and supplier data protection.
• Develop templates, playbooks and training materials while supporting improvements in the speed, cost and consistency of legal services.

As the Supply Chan Counsel, you’ll provide practical, commercially focused support to our Supply Chain and Procurement organizations. You’ll advise on day-to-day operational matters while helping build legal capability in contracting, risk management and compliance across an international footprint.

Working with business stakeholders, regional and global legal teams, and external partners (external stakeholders, vendors and suppliers), you will:

• Provide legal advice on supply chain and procurement matters affecting operations globally
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements covering manufacturing, tolling, raw materials, packaging, logistics, warehousing, distribution, engineering, maintenance, services and technology
• Assess contractual risks, identify emerging issues and elevate material risks appropriately
• Support plant operations, capacity changes, supplier transitions, business continuity planning and transformation projects
• Help implement legal and compliance initiatives relating to areas such as competition law, anti-corruption, sustainability and supplier data protection
• Develop templates, playbooks and training materials while supporting improvements in the speed, cost and consistency of legal services

The position offers exposure to multi-jurisdictional supply chain matters across developed and emerging markets. You’ll initially work under supervision, with increasing autonomy and while developing expertise in supply chain, procurement and manufacturing-related legal issues.

Tosucceedinthisrole,youwillneedthefollowingqualifications:

RequiredQualifications:

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent, with few years of post-qualification experience and meaningful commercial law experience
• Experience gained within an international organization and/or a reputable law firm
• Strong contract drafting, analysis and negotiation skills, with experience supporting negotiations and navigating commercial risk
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel to operations when necessary

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with business stakeholders
