Job description

Job Overview

About The Role

Organised? Great with people? Love keeping things running smoothly? You could be just what we’re looking for.

We’re on the lookout for a Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join us at AO and play an important part in keeping our operation moving. You’ll be right at the heart of our Supply Chain team, helping make sure the right products arrive at the right place, at the right time. From managing order books and booking deliveries to working closely with our suppliers and teams across AO, you’ll help keep everyone in the loop and everything on track.

It’s a busy, fast-paced role, so you’ll need to enjoy getting stuck into the detail, solving problems and building brilliant relationships along the way.

Don’t worry if you don’t know everything about Supply Chain just yet. We’ll help you get to grips with our systems, understand how our operation works and build your confidence as you go. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across supplier relationships, order management, warehouse operations, reporting and data, giving you a brilliant foundation to build a career in Supply Chain at AO.

Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite in our Bolton office 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Managing supplier and customer order books, keeping everything accurate and up to date.
  • Booking supplier deliveries into our warehouse and helping ensure products arrive on time.
  • Processing supplier manifests and managing delivery information.
  • Working closely with suppliers to resolve queries and keep orders moving.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across AO as well as our external supplier partners.
  • Supporting short-term ordering requirements in line with supplier lead times.
  • Monitoring KPIs and producing regular supplier reports.
  • Using data to spot issues, provide useful information and support the wider Supply Chain team.
  • Learning and developing your knowledge of our Supply Chain systems and processes.
  • Taking on more supplier responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow
A Few Things About You
  • Super organised, with great attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating with different people, whether that’s a supplier or someone within AO.
  • Comfortable building relationships and asking questions when you need to.
  • Proactive and happy to use your own initiative.
  • Driven, curious and keen to learn something new.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Someone who brings a positive personality and enjoys being part of a team.
  • Previous experience in an administration, customer service, logistics, buying or Supply Chain environment would be a bonus, but attitude, organisation and the willingness to learn are just as important to us.
A Bit About Us

We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.

But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.

We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.

Our Benefits
  • Holidays; 25 days, plus bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 2 years with us!)
  • Pension; Contribute 5% of your annual salary and we'll do the same, giving you a little extra support for the future.
  • Be a VIP at the AO Arena; we have loads of opportunities to win free tickets and pre-sale access!
  • Health & wellbeing; discounted gym membership, an onsite spa and our Help @ Hand scheme giving you access to virtual GP’s, Mental Health support and much more.
  • Discounts; exclusive discounts across our product range.
  • Family leave; Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave.
  • Making a difference; 2 fully paid days a year to donate your time to any charity of your choice.
