Job summary

My client, a specialist engineering business serving aerospace and defence, seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to strengthen procurement. You will build long-term supplier relationships, use SRM tools, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while mitigating risks.

You’ll also evaluate quotes, secure favorable terms, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system. Experience with engineering subcontract services and a track record of meeting tight deadlines and quality standards are

Qualifications

• Experience building and managing strategic supplier relationships using SRM tools.
• Ability to evaluate quotes and secure advantageous terms for pricing, delivery and quality.
• Strong understanding of subcontract engineering services and quality requirements.
• Experience raising purchase orders and managing call-offs in ERP.

Job description

My client is a specialist engineering business supplying the aerospace and defence sectors with precision components and is seeking to strengthen its procurement function with the addition of a Supply Chain Coordinator

As the Supply Chain coordinator you will be responsible for building, identifying and managing strategic, long-term relationships with Suppliers using SRM tools such as scorecards, auditing and evaluation.

You will also research new specialist suppliers and make recommendations to the Supply Chain Manager based on the value that the supplier can add to the Supply Chain whilst highlighting any areas of risk or opportunities to stakeholders and implement actions to achieve efficiency.

You will also evaluate quotes and secure advantageous terms, including pricing, delivery and quality, raise purchase orders, call off orders and maintain in ERP system.

You will be an accomplished Supply Chain professional with an understanding of engineering sub contract services and possess the strength of character to ensure all suppliers adhere to strict deadlines and stringent quality requirements.

CIPS qualifications would be advantageous although support will be give to th right candidate to pursue this.
